Premium Sheep and Goat Health Schemes – podcasts

We have recently produced a few podcasts discussing MV and Johne’s disease Accreditation and Monitoring Schemes, which will hopefully be a useful introduction to the schemes, or a refresher for vets already involved with PSGHS clients. You can download them so that you don’t lose reception when driving to your more remote calls!

Alison Braddock chats to Dave Wilson, the veterinary manager of SRUC health schemes, about the schemes, including MV Accreditation, the Johne’s Certified Risk Level scheme and the new MV and Johne’s Monitoring Schemes for commercial flocks. One episode also covers what steps to take when you find positive animals in an MV accredited flock test. We will be producing more health scheme episodes in the future, including FAQs and covering the Premium Cattle Health Scheme.

The episodes are part of The SRUC Podcast, which can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and most other podcast providers. Just search for “SRUC Podcast”. Episodes are released several times a month covering all aspects of SRUC’s work, including the On the Hoof stream, produced by SRUC Veterinary Services.

They are also available on the SRUC website, please see the links below:
