This course explores One Health with the aim of giving learners a supportive and purpose-led journey towards implementing a new sustainability initiative within their veterinary practice.
Who the course is for:
This course is aimed at anyone within the small animal and equine based veterinary sector who wants to gain the skills needed to help bring about positive sustainable change within daily working practices, procurement, waste management and the carbon footprint of pet ownership.
An interest in collaboration with wider healthcare providers or open to a discussion on how this may bring positive change to the veterinary sector is essential.
It would ideally suit a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) but could also be completed by a non-qualified member of the veterinary team.
Entry requirements:
To study this postgraduate micro-credential, you will ideally have Bachelors degree or equivalent level qualification plus two years experience working in small animal veterinary practice.
Course dates:
This course is self-paced and will be launched in February 2025. It can be started at any point in the year excepting July and August. It normally takes 12 weeks to complete.

This is a stand-alone micro-credential (accredited short course) at postgraduate level 11. Upon completion of this course, you will gain 20 SCQF credits (equivalent to one-third of a Postgraduate Certificate) and a certificate to prove you have passed the course.
