Investigation of Modern Agriculture
A National Progression Award for those interested in agriculture, farming and the new technology and practices evolving in the sector.


This National Progression Award examines the changing face of agriculture today, including the role of technology and precision farming as well as opportunities for diversification. The course is aimed at those who have an interest in the agricultural sector and who want to learn more about the practices of modern day farming and the variety of career options available.
Who the course is for:
This course has been designed for S4, S5, & S6 learners with no prior knowledge or experience but you must be capable of working at SCQF Level 5 and show a keen interest in the subject area.
Duration:
This course is runs for one academic year based on 3-5 hours of study per week.
Change to: This course runs from August to April with an expected 3 to 5 hours of study per week.
Delivery:
This distance learning course is delivered through a series of units accessible online through our digital learning platform, Moodle. The modules can be accessed at any time, making study time flexible.
Qualification:
On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded an SQA accredited National Progression Award (NPA) Investigation of Modern Agriculture at SCQF Level 5.
