The Company:

CEPA is a German tour operator specialising in study abroad programs for American, Canadian, and Brazilian university groups in Europe.

The Role:

The Coordinator role supports and accompanies overseas student groups during their tours in Europe, for trips lasting from one to 15 days. As a CEPA Coordinator it is not only the logistics of the tour that are important but creating an unforgettable experience for the student groups. The Coordinator is part of the CEPA team helping students and faculty leaders to discover Edinburgh through educational travel.

Responsibilities include delivering a high level of customer service and traveller satisfaction, providing detailed information about Edinburgh and its public transportation system and offering suggestions of what to do in the region, taking care of the logistics of the tour e.g. leading the group on business/cultural visits, airport/train pick-ups etc., giving an orientation walking tour and introduction to British culture on the arrival day, dealing directly with students’ issues and/or concerns and being their contact person for questions, problems, and emergencies (e.g. seeing a doctor).

The Candidate:

  • Fluent in English
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Live in or near Edinburgh and knowledgeable about the city
  • Able to deal with stressful situations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Reliability, flexibility, and open-mindedness are key qualities
  • Experience in a similar role preferred
