SRUC

SRUC King's Buildings, Edinburgh

Due to its close proximity and links with Edinburgh University, all of the campuses sports facilities are run by the Edinburgh University Students' Union (EUSA). SRUC Edinburgh students are able to become EUSA members through a registration process at the start of each academic year.

EUSA facilities include the Centre for Sport and Exercise (CSE) and playing fields, which offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor activities include gyms (free weights and machines), badminton and squash courts, football, basketball, volleyball and martial arts. Outdoor facilities offer football and rugby pitches, cricket squares and a residential outdoor activity centre which offers sailing, windsurfing, hillwalking and mountain biking.

SRUC King's Buildings, Edinburgh also has its own rugby, football and hockey teams which compete against local teams as well as teams from the other SRUC campuses. The city's sports facilities (both indoor and out) are also very impressive and include Europe's largest artificial ski slope which is open all year round.

SRUC Barony, Dumfries

The Barony sports hall is suitable for badminton (4 courts), indoor tennis, carpet bowls, basketball, volleyball, indoor football and table tennis. Your supporters can watch you compete from the comfort of the Kirkmichael bar which overlooks the sports hall.

If you are a naturalist, bird watching at the pond or along the Ae valley may appeal. A visit to 'big wood' provides the best opportunity to see red squirrels, a common sight on the Barony estate.

SRUC Craibstone, Aberdeen

For golfers, there is an 18-hole pay and play golf course, just a 5-minute drive away, with a bar and restaurant in the clubhouse.
