SRUC

We specialise in experiential learning and in the development of practical skills. We also benefit from small class sizes, allowing for the development of strong community bonds, where teachers and students form relationships that last into their careers.

We want to further enhance this learning experience through initiatives such as:

  • paid internship programmes,
  • community engagement projects, and
  • a new peer support scheme.

Make a difference.

SRUC's Students as Partners scheme has run a successful pilot programme whereby students work on short-term projects such as educational resource accessibility, student experience expansion, and toolkit development.

Student interns receive a salary to cover 100 hours of work, either alongside their studies over the course of an academic year, or over a three-week period during the summer break. Interns gather valuable work experience whist also making a real difference to SRUC.

We are looking for donors who want to help our students embrace what makes SRUC a different place to learn. Expansion of these opportunities will result in more graduates with knowledge and skills of creatively responding to market and industry challenges.
