Louisa Habermann

I am an Agricultural Consultant based in our Oban office. Since completing my degrees in 2013, I have worked as a soil scientist and consultant in various environmental roles across the country.

Most of my clients are on the Isle of Mull and in areas surrounding Oban. They are primarily crofters and farmers, whom I support with expertise in soil health, grass and carbon management, biodiversity, and agri-environmental schemes.

I am also working in other areas in the North West, such as Islay and Tiree for specific projects, such as paragraph 7 exemptions (by-product management) and soil health related projects.

My responsibilities involve giving land management, business administrative and other farm related advice and support.

Within the Farm Advisory Service, I enjoy organising regular meetings for my clients to network and exchange their knowledge with their community and to receive expert advise from special guest speakers. I am also producing informational material about soil related topics on a regular basis through various medias such as website material, guides/flyers and video material.

I mostly enjoy visiting my clients on farm and doing soil investigations. My personal life is otherwise dedicated to my two children and partner enjoying our garden and life in Oban.
