I have started with SAC Consulting Oban this Spring 2024 as a Trainee Agricultural Consultant keen to expand on my knowledge gained from my BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture from SRUC in Aberdeen.

I am from a family farm in Aberdeenshire and my passion lies within cattle of the beef and dairy type, I also have an enthusiasm for grassland and its management. My hobbies include walking (especially on the beach), as well as beginning to expand my dairy Shorthorn herd in Aberdeenshire with the help of my family.

Before working at SAC Consulting I gained most of my practical knowledge by helping on the farm at home. I worked as a relief night milker during my time as a student with the addition of lambing at different farms each spring, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have previously worked at SRUC in the Craibstone research department working with some of the researchers looking at the potato projects which was very interesting. After college I started working with United Auctions in Stirling. In this job I was an Admin Assistant and during this role I was mainly office based and would travel to clerk at sales across the different branches including Oban, Dalmally, Tiree and Islay.

During my time at SAC Consulting I will be working between two offices which are the Oban and Campbeltown office assisting farmers and crofters across those areas.
