Dr Cara Campbell

I am a Senior Consultant and Area Manager at SAC Consulting in the Campbeltown office where I started in January 2020. I am involved in providing advice on business management, submission of grant schemes and assisting clients complete and submit their SAF forms. My area of expertise is livestock nutrition and I formulate rations for the beef, sheep and dairy clients of the Campbeltown office and across the South West of Scotland. As part of my role, I have written articles for national (Scottish Farmer, Farmers Guardian) and in-house farming publications on a variety of livestock-based topics. 

I am co-project manager and producer of FAS TV with 30 episodes being released each year highlighting farmer and crofter stories from across Scotland. Currently, I am the facilitator for the FAS Connect group, Sustainable Dairy in Campbeltown.  In my previous role as HE lecturer and course manager of the agricultural programs at University Centre Reaseheath, I was involved in delivery of a variety of modules for the agricultural and animal science programs.

In my spare time, I help with the running of the family farm which has 120 suckler cows and 350 breeding ewes. Alongside the commercial ewes, I have run a small pedigree Blue Texel flock which I established in 2022.
