I lead the parts of SAC Consulting that provide a range of services to help those across the food and drink supply chain be more sustainable and profitable. This includes the environment, food and enterprise, and forestry teams.
I work with these teams and colleagues across the whole of SRUC, including those delivering our highly regarded Agrecalc carbon footprinting tool, to provide an evidence-based and integrated service. I am also accountable for SAC Consulting’s delivery of the Scottish Government’s one-to-many Scottish Farm Advisory Service and am part of the SAC Consulting leadership team.
Prior to joining SAC Consulting, I spent seven years with NFU Scotland, five of those as Deputy Director of Policy, with a focus on environment and land use policy. I also have experience of wider rural development, with past roles in community asset purchase and development, and EU-funded transnational projects.
