Ailsa Smith

I am a Farm Business Analyst, part of the Scottish Farm Business Survey Team at SAC Consulting in the Auchincruive office in Ayr.  I have been with SAC Consulting since February 2021. The farms I collect data from are primarily in Lanarkshire and Argyll although I have been known to visit anywhere from Aberdeenshire to Dumfriesshire.  The work involves asking a lot of questions, auditing accounts and processing a lot of data in excel.

I graduated from Glasgow University with a BSc in Applied Mathematics in 2009 and have worked within the agricultural industry ever since.
