SRUC

Isle of Mull Cheese & Distillers

Brought to you by SRUC alum Lily Reade
Lily studied Rural Business Management at SRUC Aberdeen

We are a dairy farm, milking 130 mixed breed dairy cows, using all of the unpasteurised milk, year-round, for producing Isle of Mull and Hebridean Blue Cheese.

We now use the spent whey from the cheesemaking, to make alcohol (gin and vodka type).

We make all the cheese and spirits on the farm, along with all our own power, using hydro, wind and wood chip.

There is an onsite farm shop and seasonal café called The Glass Barn.
