Quality Enhancement and Standards Review (QESR)
The Quality Enhancement and Standards Review (QESR), a peer review process, for SRUC took place on 24 April 2024, following a comprehensive submission of required documentation. On the day, a number of sessions took place with the Review panel including meetings with key contacts, colleagues and students.
There are only two possible outcomes from this process: confident, or not confident. The Review team reached the following conclusion for SRUC:
“From the evidence presented, the review team is confident that Scotland's Rural College is making effective progress in continuing to monitor, review and enhance its higher education provision to enable effective arrangements to be in place for managing academic standards and the quality of the student learning experience.”
In addition, an area of good practice was identified, and only two recommendations for action, both of which are areas that SRUC has been engaged with.
Good practice & recommendations for action
The QESR Report is published on the QAA website and identified the below area of good practice and recommendations for action.
Our Action Plan
The SRUC QESR Action Plan below has been developed to address identified recommendations and continue to monitor progress of the completion of the relevant actions.
