SRUC

Farm Advisory Service

We have been delivering the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) since 2016, providing information and resources aimed at increasing the profitability and sustainability of farms and crofts. Funded by Scottish Government, we design, develop, and deliver the programme throughout Scotland.

We bring together the knowledge and experience of expert consultants, researchers and  farmers to produce a wealth of resources, including videos, podcasts, events and the FAS website.

Farming and Water Scotland

The Farming and Water Scotland (FWS) programme helps farmers and land managers to keep on the right side of the diffuse pollution regulations, reduce diffuse pollution risks and add value to farm businesses.

Delivered by our environment team, and involving many experts across the SAC Consulting network, FWS offers the latest guidance and practical advice to support the agricultural sector.

Scottish Farm Business Survey

The Scottish Farm Business Survey (SFBS) is an annual economic and environmental survey of over 400 farming businesses in Scotland. It delivers an in-depth focus on the state of Scottish farming and creates data to support Scottish Government decision making.

In taking part, farmers across the country gain invaluable insights into their business whilst also supporting Scottish agriculture.
